Seasons of Life

It's a rainy cold night,
The showers wash away the city mercilessly,
I see people holding onto their loved one,
I see people with their loved ones, singing and dancing under the cracked up sky,
While I stand alone, looking at these people in love,
For every drop of rain that falls on me,
Takes me back to the rainy night we spent together.

It's a bright, sunny morning,
The sun shines with all its might,
Shimmering the ripples of the river like a silvery lightning,
I see the children smiling and playing, licking off the melting ice cream of their noses
While I stand alone, yearning to hold your hand for a walk,
For every person basking under the warmth of the sun,
Takes me back to the summer morning we spent together.

It's a silent chilly night,
The cold wind blows outside in a roaring speed,
I see people holding the hot coffee mug wrapped around their fingers,
I see people lying near the bonfire;
I can only hear the crackled sound of woods in the fire
While I stand alone, waiting for you to wrap me in your arms,
For every lash of whipping wind that sends a chill down my spine,
Takes me back to the winter night we spent together.

It's a lovely pleasant evening,
The air smells of fresh daffodils and wild orchards,
I see people roving their boats through the lakes with ducks around,
I see people giving flowers to their loved one with that flirtatious smile creeping up,
While I stand alone, waiting for you to kiss me in the lush green park,
For every fragrance spilled out in the air I breathe,
Takes me back to the spring evening we spent together.

I don't wait for any of these seasons, my dear,
